I do not know much about consumer cams, but from what I read on the Elura 100, seems a very good camera. You can probably find cheaper on eBay, I have my GL2 on eBay for $ 1,500, you can probably save at least $ 100-200 outside of eBay. With the money saved you could get a microphone, however, believe that the Elura 100 is a shoe or a shoe, then cam mounted microphones will not work. If you want to spend a little more, get a PV-GS300 for about $ 500-600, or get a PV-GS400 $ 700 off eBay.
